The Bureau of Correctional Recovery Services works with offenders in Ohio's prisons to facilitate life change, foster renewed responsibility and build the opportunity to become productive restored citizens.
Recovery Services Correctional Program Coordinators (Counselors) with a MAT focus use evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Engagement (ME) skills in the treatment of offenders who need medication assisted treatment and programming.
Duties of the Correctional Program Coordinator include:
At assigned correctional institutions , provide coordination of medication assisted orientation, treatment, counseling, and guidance for eligible participants Coordinate ongoing collaboration for participants with needed partners (MHAS Recovery Services, DRC Medical and Mental Health, contracted Opiate Treatment Providers, Community Linkage, etc.
) to ensure provision of and continuity of services Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge planning with MAT participants in a coordinated approach and documented in electronic health record Engage and offer clients assistance with Medication-Assisted Treatment to foster and strengthen recovery Monitor and evaluate progress of the participants eligible for MAT in the substance use programs Provide technical assistance for continuing care planning Schedule is Monday-Friday, however hours will vary Provide technical assistance and training to staff as required Selected applicant(s) will be required to complete the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction's Correctional Training Academy located in Orient, OH.
This training is approximately 4 weeks in length.
QualificationsMust hold current certification or credentials in one of following:
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) - Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III) - Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) - Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Professional Counselor (PC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Licensed Physician by State of Ohio Medical Board.
- Licensed Psychologist by State of Ohio Board of Psychology.
- Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
- Licensed Independent Marriage & Family Therapist licensed by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
